SEC Baseball Power Poll

Florida, Alabama, Missouri, Georgia, South Carolina, Ole Miss and LSU all soared in Week 3 of SEC Baseball. Here's a look at our updated SEC Power Poll for Week 3.

1 25-5 (7-2) Florida is now firmly entrenched at the top of the power poll. With series wins over Arkansas and Vandy it will be hard for the Gators to drop. Florida doesn't face either Ole Miss or LSU this season. Road series at Tennessee.
2 25-4 (6-3) Ole Miss has won its first three series. The key has been solid pitching and hitting. The Rebs lead the SEC in strikeouts and are third in BA (.299). Road series at Mississippi State.
3 19-9 (5-4) An 11-10 Saturday loss to Ole Miss cost the Hogs a series win. Arkansas has played one of the toughest schedule in the SEC so far. They should still contend for an NCAA national seed. Home series with Auburn.
4 17-11 (5-4) Vandy suffered its first SEC sweep in years at tough Florida. The 'Dores were missing their top hitter in Gainesville and have played two of their three first series on the road. They are not out of it yet. Home series with Georgia.
5 18-11 (5-4) LSU picked up a nice series victory over Mississippi State to bounce back from the series loss at Vandy. Road series at Texas A&M.
6 21-7 (7-2) Georgia is off to a great start with series wins over Bama, USC and A&M. Georgia looks like a sure NCAA team. Things are about to get tougher though with road trips to Vandy and Ole Miss coming up over the next three weeks. Road series at Vanderbilt.
7 20-7 (5-4) Missouri has quietly shown some power and skill in the first three series, two of those on the road. They get two of the next three at home. Home series with Alabama.
8 22-7 (4-5) The Tigers opened with a series win over A&M but have since lost two straight series. I visit to Arkansas is a tough draw. Road series at Arkansas.
9 17-11 (4-5) After two series losses to open the season, the Gamecocks bounced back with a home sweep over Tennessee. A trip to Kentucky this weekend should be an interesting matchup. Road series at Kentucky.
10 21-8 (3-6) A&M has had a somewhat tough schedule so far. Two road trips (Auburn and Georgia) and a home game against an excellent Ole miss squad. The Aggies host LSU this weekend and should be able to win one or two. Home series with LSU.
11 19-9 (3-6) Kentucky still leads the SEC in batting avg (.322) but are still dead last in ERA (4.98). The Cats need to get the bats going this weekend in Lexington. Home series with South Carolina.
12 17-12 (4-5) The Vols had a rough road series at a hungry South Carolina. UT is still hovering around .500 in the league. Things don't get much easier with Florida visiting this weekend. Home series with Florida.
13 18-11 (3-6) The Tide won a series at home against a Kentucky team that was ranked earlier in the top 10. Bama now travels to an improved Missouri program in what should be an exciting series. Road series at Missouri.
14 14-15 (2-7) MSU fell 2-1 in a series at LSU. Picking up a win in Baton Rouge is at least a start. Things will be rocking in Starkville this weekend when the Bulldogs host Ole Miss. Home series with Ole Miss.
