SEC Baseball now has two weeks of league ball in the books. Let’s take a look at the second SEC Power Poll rankings of the 2018 season.

Edit
TEAM RECORD REMARKS NEXT SERIES
17-7 (5-1) Vanderbilt pulled off its second straight series win by taking 2 of 3 from LSU. The Dores are third in ERA and first in fielding but seemed to have cooled off a little hitting, dropping to 10th (.289). The #vandyboys have big test coming up this weekend. Road series with Florida.
21-5 (4-2) The Gators lost game one to the Hogs. However, a 17-2 game two Gator victory is what everyone will remember. Florida took the series with a 5-4 Sunday victory. Home series with Vanderbilt.
17-7 (4-2) Arkansas drops to third after a series loss at Florida. We believe they are still very much in the conference title hunt. Road series with Ole Miss.
22-3 (4-2) Ole Miss took two of three from the Texas A&M. The Rebels have used solid pitching and timely hitting to win two early SEC contests. Home series with Arkansas.
18-6 (5-1) Georgia isn't at the top in any statistical category except for one: Sac bunts. They have 22 which is 7 more than the second place team in that category (LSU). Basically, the Bulldogs are playing something called "Team ball" and it's working. Home series with Texas A&M.
20-5 (3-3) A 4-3 loss on Sunday to Kentucky dealt the Tigers a series loss. Earlier in the series, a wild pitch cost the Tigers another game. Home series with Missouri.
16-9 (3-3) LSU battled Vandy hard for three days but came out on the short end of the stick in the series after a 1-0 setback on Sunday. Home series with Mississippi State.
18-6 (3-3) A 5-4 win over Mississippi State on Sunday gave the Tigers their first SEC series win in 2018. Mizzou looks much improved from 2017. We'll have a better idea as to how good they are after the upcoming road series. Road series with Auburn.
17-7 (2-4) UK still leads the SEC in batting average (.324), Slugging (.572), and on base % (.430) but they are dead last in ERA (5.11). That's why they have a losing conference record. Road series with Alabama.
19-6 (2-4) A couple of 1-run losses to Ole Miss spelled another losing series for the Aggies. They need a series win badly. Road series with Georgia.
16-9 (4-2) Tennessee swept Alabama over the weekend. Vol fans are probably happy to beat Bama at something. Both those baseball programs are trying to develop winning ways. Looks like the Vols are making progress. Road series with South Carolina.
13-11 (1-5) South Carolina is another team that suffered being swept. They have a good chance to win a league series this weekend. Home series with Tennessee.
13-12 (1-5) Mississippi State is another team that saw a series win slip away with a 1-run Sunday loss (to Missouri). MSU leads the league in strike outs thrown and batters struck out looking. Trouble is they aren't hitting as well as normally. This weekend's series is another tough matchup. Road series with LSU.
16-9 (1-5) The Tide, again, sits at the bottom of the SEC. Two 1-run losses to Tennessee was a recipe for being swept by the Vols. Bama might pick up a win or two this weekend. Home series with Kentucky.
