WEEK 7 SEC BASEBALL PREDICTIONS

Last week we managed a perfect slate, going 7-0 (24-11 overall) in our SEC baseball series picks. Week 7 promises to be an even tougher group of matchups. Here is a look at our week 7 picks.

UPDATE: Arkansas and Ole Miss will now play a single game on Thursday and then a doubleheader on Friday, no Saturday contest.

SERIES DAYS COMMENTS PREDICTION
LSU at Alabama Thurs.-Sat. This is a good opportunity for LSU to gain some ground and make up for last weekend's series loss at Kentucky. Alabama needs for something good to happen. It's been a miserable season so far for the Tide. LSU wins 2-1
Ole Miss at Arkansas Thurs.-Sat. The Rebels are sitting at 9-9 with just 12 games remaining in their conference play. Ole Miss can't afford to get swept by the Razorbacks with road trips to Florida and Auburn on the horizon along with a lone home series against surging Texas A&M. Arkansas is looking to bounce back after a 2-1 series loss at Auburn. Arkansas wins 2-1
Auburn at Mississippi State Fri.-Sun. This is the marquee series of the week. Two West powerhouses- one a newcomer to that status and the other a regular- face off at Dudy Noble Field. This on is hard to pick. When that happens you go with the home team. MSU wins 2-1
Florida at Georgia Fri.-Sun. Two straight series wins for Florida gives them some momentum. Georgia is facing a gauntlet of ranked opponents to finish the season. Florida wins 3-0
Kentucky at South Carolina Fri.-Sun. The Gamecocks are on a four SEC series losing streak. USC is still a very good ball club. Kentucky can't afford to roll into Columbia thinking they are going to smash the 'Cocks. USC wins 2-1
Texas A&M at Missouri Fri.-Sun. Since starting their SEC season 3-0 the Tigers are 5-10. Since starting their SEC season 0-5 the Aggies are 10-3. A&M wins 2-1
Tennessee at Vanderbilt Fri.-Sun. Vandy needs a sweep to get their record rolling but UT is a scrappy team that won two out of three in Gainesville. Look for the Vols to eek out at least one win. Vandy wins 2-1
