Week four was another crazy week in the SEC with several series upsets. Here is a look at the SEC Stock Exchange for Week 4.
STOCK PRICE HIGH
ARKANSAS- Arkansas lost two of three at home to LSU. The series loss puts a damper on a red-hot league start for the Hogs. Arkansas will be at home again this weekend against the Georgia Bulldogs.
AUBURN- Auburn, like Arkansas, was kind of brought back to earth after a strong SEC start. In this case, the Tigers fell two games to one at now surging Texas A&M. Despite the disappointing weekend, the Tigers can take solace in the fact that they've already won more games in 2017 (24) than they did in the entire 2016 season (23).
KENTUCKY- The Wildcats are another team that was off and running but hit a wall in week 4. They lost two of three at Mississippi State along with a mid-week loss to rival Louisville. Kentucky travels to Missouri this weekend in a series that is very important for both teams.
MISSISSIPPI STATE- MSU is on a roll and has now won 10 of its last 12 contests. Things will be tough this weekend, though, with a trip to South Carolina looming.
SOUTH CAROLINA- The Gamecock nation is stunned after losing two of three at home to unranked Vanderbilt. Carolina will host tough Mississippi State this weekend.
LSU- LSU won (2-1) a road series against a very tough Arkansas squad. The Tigers, who have now won six straight series over the Hogs, seem to have Arky's number. LSU gets a home series with Ole Miss this weekend.
STOCK PRICE SO-SO
OLE MISS- The Rebels, behind the arm of reliever Dallas Woolfolk (1.08 ERA) was able to pull off a sweep in Oxford over Alabama. The Rebs also won a mid-week game against a ranked in-state foe, Southern Miss. Up next for the Rebels is a weekend series at LSU.
FLORIDA- The Gators did the unthinkable losing two of three at HOME to Tennessee, a team that came to Gainesville with just one conference victory. The Gators travel to Vandy this weekend for a Thursday-Saturday series.
VANDERBILT- The Commodores rode improved pitching and two timely home runs by Julian Infante in gaining a 2-1 series win at South Carolina. Vandy's ace pitcher Kyle Wright looked improved against South Carolina in the Friday win. He'll need to continue his progress this weekend against the Gators.
MISSOURI- After a conference opening series sweep of Alabama the Tigers hit a rough streak of seven-straight losses. A 2-1 series win at Georgia now gives the Tigers hope as they await a visit from a solid Kentucky team this weekend.
TEXAS A&M- A&M has moved into the "so-so" section after a rough start to league play. Last weekend they pulled off a big series win over Auburn in College Station. With a trip to Alabama coming up this weekend, the Aggies have a chance at getting above .500.
STOCK PRICE LOW
GEORGIA- The Bulldogs are in the "low" section but they certainly are on the verge of moving up. However, it won't be easy as the dogs head to Arkansas for three games.
TENNESSEE- Tennessee deserves some props for winning two of three at Florida last weekend. The Vols get Auburn this weekend in Knoxville.
ALABAMA- Poor Alabama. With just two league wins, the Tide nation must be wondering why Alabama can't field a winning baseball team, like their neighbor in the eastern part of the state. This weekend the Crimson Tide hosts Texas A&M; at least win one.
